Synthetic ivory painting surface for oils, watercolors, and acrylics.

Translucent, off-white.
Used for painting miniatures for 100+ years and proved to be a reliable surface.
Can be mounted on acid-free foam core. Use 3-M Photo-Mount or 3-M Vac-U-Mount spray adhesive. These adhesives have been age-tested on Ivorine without adverse effects; other adhesives may chemically interact with the Ivorine.
Store in a climate-controlled environment under a weight such as a heavy book. Do not hang in direct sunlight. Tendency to bow and warp if subjected to extreme heat.
Either side can be used as painting surface.
Thickness - .03" (.76mm)

Synthetic ivory painting surface for oils, watercolors, and acrylics.

Translucent, ivory color (S2) and white (S3).
Surface-treated plastic.
Used in archival applications for 40+ years without degradation.
Dimensionally stable, chemically resistant.
Dull side recommended as painting surface, although either side can be used.
Ivory color has been color matched to antique ivory.
White is well suited for bright landscapes and seascapes.

General Info -
Ivorine and Polymin

Both Ivorine and Polymin have these characteristics:

Can be cut to size with scissors.
Ready to use with any media.
Non-absorbent.
Avoid fingerprints on surfaces, especially if water-based paints are used. Greasy or oil spots will prevent paint from adhering; wash with dish soap before use if necessary.
If surface is too glossy for your particular artwork, gently rub with fine-grain sanding film (see Misc. page); also use sanding film between layers of paint for a smoother look.
Can be framed under glass with a mat (any media), but needs a firm backing and should be fastened firmly in frame. Oils can be framed under glass since these surfaces do not need to "breathe" like canvas.

Fiber-based paper card for watercolors and acrylics.
*Discontinued, but some left.

Opaque, pure white.
Excellent smooth, warm-white painting surface; holds paint well.
Heavy paper (500gsm), .02" thick (.5mm), which allows resistance to distortion due to moisture absorption, but still easy to cut with scissors. Acid free, stable, rigid, semi-absorbent.
Either side can be used as painting surface.
Can also be used as rigid backing for Ivorine, Polymin, or photographs.
Sold in 6" x 8" sheet, or pad of 10 for $13. (sample available on request)
